What began as something personal grew into a community—and eventually, two studios full of people creating together.

Pottery Started as Something Personal.

Before Vivienne Monroe Pottery was a studio, pottery was something much more personal.

For founder Nikki Fanning, clay became a creative outlet during a season of grief after losing someone close to her. Working with her hands offered a place to slow down, quiet some of the noise, and simply focus on what was in front of her.

There was something grounding about the process—the feel of clay in her hands, the concentration it took to center a piece, and the permission to create without needing everything to be perfect.

Over time, pottery became more than an escape. It became a source of joy, connection, and healing.

And Nikki began to realize that what made pottery so special wasn't only the finished piece. It was everything that happened along the way—the quiet focus, the imperfect attempts, the excitement of opening a kiln, the pride of making something with your own hands, and eventually, the people you meet around the studio.

That experience became the foundation for Vivienne Monroe Pottery: a place where people could slow down, create, connect, and find a little space for themselves.

Named With Love.

Vivienne Monroe Pottery is named after Nikki’s daughter, Vivienne.

The name was chosen to create something that felt personal, timeless, and rooted in family—a reflection of the kind of studio Nikki hoped to build.

Our First Creative Home.

In July 2025, Vivienne Monroe Pottery opened its first studio in Jensen Beach, Florida.

The goal was simple: create a beautiful, welcoming place where people could learn pottery without feeling intimidated, where experienced potters could continue creating, and where community mattered just as much as clay.

Classes filled. Members stayed. Kids discovered clay. Friendships formed.

What started as a pottery studio quickly became a place people genuinely wanted to belong.

We Needed More Room.

One year later, the VMP community had grown beyond what we originally imagined.

In 2026, we opened our second studio in Stuart—a 2,500-square-foot space designed to give local potters more room to throw, handbuild, glaze, gather, and grow.
